Bindura
General Information
Bindura is a town in the province of Mashonaland Central, Zimbabwe. It is situated in the Mazowe Valley approximately 88 km north-east of Harare. It is the administrative capital of the province.
Bindura Nickel, operates a smelt refinery just outside of the town in which nickel, copper and cobalt are mined. The majority of farming is with cotton and maize. Bindura is also home to the SOS Children's village, which is a charity organisation in support of caring for children who cannot be cared for by their biological families.

Bindura is not a tourist destination, however with Acadia Dam being not too far away, it is a draw card to the area. There are camping sites, chalets, ablutions and braai facilities for overnight stays, too. Visit Paradise Pools at the dam for a day filled with sun and relaxing.
