Mutoko
General Information
Mutoko (named after the local Chief Mutoko), is a small town in Mashonaland East Province of Zimbabwe. Mutoko is approximately 143 km from Harare, and has an airport.
The town is occupied mostly by the Buja people which are known for being amongst the best tomato and mango farmers in Zimbabwe. This area also produces maize, cotton, beans and recently tobacco.
The Mutoko is situated in a very mountainous region of Zimbabwe and as such is an important source of granite stone.
